During the 1980s, Mundt MacGregor acquired a reputation as the leading provider of legal services to businesses and individuals active in the Alaska groundfish industry. Today, the firm represents fishing vessel owners and fish processors employing approximately $1 billion of capital resources in the Alaska groundfish fishery: the world's richest.
During the 1980s, Mundt MacGregor also developed a robust practice representing real estate developers active in and around downtown Seattle. The firm's real estate practice continued with the representation of companies owning some of the best development parcels in the Seattle downtown area. Also during this period, the firm's litigators acquired a reputation for excellence that resulted in numerous referrals from, among others, a number of large Seattle law firms.
